What’s going on here?

I am currently overhauling my portfolio website. You will see a constant flow of changes as I go through the process. My goals for the site are constantly evolving, so what you see now, is not necessarily representative of where this site design is going. I thought it might be interesting and informative to post a bit about the whole process as I build this new site (Obviously, I had to get so far with the design before I could start posting). Here’s a list of what I have accomplished so far (keep in mind, these are not necessarily linear steps) as well as some other steps that are in process:

  • Migrate the site to Wordpress
  • Install Plugins
  • Determine a new layout
  • Build data structure into theme (customize WP theme)
  • Stylize with CSS
  • Implement jQuery Javascript Library (framework?)
  • Implement Thickbox (for image galleries)
  • Create project images and thumbnails
  • Write project copy
  • Prop feet up

Of course, this list will change frequently as I come up with new goals and ideas. Design (especially web design) is a very ‘organic’ process. No matter how much planning you do, once the building process begins, new things are discovered along the way. This is one of my favorite things about web design.

Anyway, bear with me as I get this thing put together. I apologize for any ugliness that you may experience along the way!
